Regular Inspection and Maintenance Matters Needing Attention and Supplementary Instructions

  1. Before performing maintenance and inspection, be sure to unplug the negative terminal of the battery to avoid sparks caused by the maintenance and inspection tools touching the machine.
  2. If the unit has been operated before maintenance and inspection, special attention must be paid to the hot pipe fittings to avoid scalding. If you need to open the water tank cover to check the cooling water, you must wait for the unit to cool before performing maintenance and inspection.
  3. The waste and waste liquid generated after maintenance and repair must be disposed of in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and should not be discarded and discharged arbitrarily.
  4. When the generator is running, if the load voltage is provided, please do not touch the load terminal board to avoid electric shock.
  5. When the generator is running, avoid touching the inner circuit of the control panel to avoid electric shock.
  6. For generators that are running or just run, the cooling water of the water tank is in a high temperature state. It is strictly forbidden to open the cover of the water tank to avoid being scalded by high temperature steam.
  7. To observe generator-related parameters after startup, you can swipe on the touch screen to select the item to be observed.
  8. The backup generator should be started at least once every 15 days to ensure the normal performance of the generator, and run for at least 5~10 minutes each time.
  9. After the generator is started, run it with no load for 5 minutes, and then put it into use with the load. When shutting down, let the generator run without load for 5 minutes before shutting down to extend the warranty period of the engine.
  10. Air filter cleaning and replacement
    • Every 250 hours of use, the air filter needs to be removed to compress the air (pressure below 7㎏/cm2) to clean the dust of the filter core, or it must be replaced with a new one after one year (whichever comes first).
    • For use in dusty areas, the maintenance time must be shortened.
  11. Engine water tank water replacement
    • Every 500 hours of operation or less than 500 hours but one year has passed, the water in the water tank must be replaced, and the cooling water drain plug at the lower part of the water tank is drained. When the old water is completely drained, please lock the plug.
    • Add pure tap water until the water tank is full, and then lock the water tank cover in place.

Daily Checkpoints

  1. Internal inspection of the appearance of the unit, if there is foreign matter or dirt, please remove it and clean it up.
  2. Whether water, fuel, oil, and battery fluid are sufficient.
  3. Whether the fan belt is too loose or too tight, adjust if necessary.
  4. Check the fan status to check for looseness or damage.
  5. Check whether the terminals of the load outlet board are in good condition, and replace if necessary.
  6. Check that the battery wiring is locked and damaged.
  7. After starting, check whether there is any abnormal sound, and observe whether the battery charging voltage and the load terminal voltage are within the normal setting range.
  8. Record the inspection and measurement data in the daily inspection list for future maintenance and repair reference.

Battery Maintenance

  1. The battery life is about 2 years under normal use and maintenance.
  2. Please start the engine regularly (7~15 days) and run the engine for 5~10 minutes, so as to ensure the normal function of the battery.
  3. Check the battery water level at least every 15 days and keep it between the upper and lower limits. When the water level is insufficient, please add distilled water or boiled water to the upper limit.
  4. When the battery is not in use, it should be recharged 1~2 times a month to prevent the battery from being damaged if it is placed for too long.
  5. To avoid high concentration of gas retention during charging and use, please choose a well-ventilated place.
  6. When inspecting the battery, it is strictly forbidden to approach fire (cigarettes, lighters, electrical sparks), etc., and the positive and negative electrodes of the battery must not be short-circuited to prevent explosion.
  7. The battery assembly should be fully seated, not allowed to loosen, and not slammed into the terminal head and cell casing.
  8. When replacing the alternator battery, you must first disconnect the negative (-) terminal connecting the machine to the battery and then disconnect the positive (+) terminal; Connect the battery negative (-) terminal to avoid battery positive and negative short circuit and sparks caused by accidental contact with tools.

Precautions for Long-Term Storage

  1. It must be stored in a clean and dry environment. Never store the generator in a wet or dirty place.
  2. Drain the oil, add new oil, and run the generator for another five minutes.
  3. Wipe and lubricate the movable parts of the machine table with a clean cloth and oil.
  4. Drain the cooling water and fuel.
  5. Generator battery removed.
  6. Clean the inside and outside of the machine.
  7. Partially seal the generator opening to ensure that no moisture can enter the interior of the unit.
  8. Store the sealed generator in a clean and dry place.
  9. The alternator battery must be charged 1-2 times a month.
